Welcome Back to Fall Sewing Classes!

I hope everyone’s Summer vacation was a great one! As we all work now to get back into our school routines I wanted to make a few reminders:

1. My class policy is… payments are due on the 1st of each month. If necessary, please mail payments so that I receive them on time. I also have a black mailbox for payment drops hung on the brick wall next to the entrance to the sewing room for your convenience. A statement will be mailed after the fifth of the month to those whose payments have not been received. An additional $5.00 late fee will be added to the statement.

2. Neither food nor sodas are allowed in the sewing room during my after school lessons, make sure your students have their snacks before class. Students may only bring a bottle of water with a screw on lid. Occasionally I will put out candy for the girls to pop in their mouths or take home. Let me know if you do not want our daughter to have candy.

Holiday Weekend Sales! Sew Much Fabric, Sew Little Time!

This weekend is a great time to shop for patterns and fabric sales! Check out the on-line ads for JoAnn's and Hancocks. In the JoAnn's ad there is a coupon for 10% off your entire purchase. At JoAnn Fabrics McCall's patterns will be on sale this weekend for $1.99 each. Normally I don't recommend McCall's, but if it's a craft pattern, home decor or elastic waist pant pattern I think it won't give you too much trouble. Also, starting tomorrow, Sunday September 6, 2009 all Simplicity patterns will be on sale for $1.99 each all week through Saturday September 12, 2009. HAPPY SHOPPING!

Teacher (Home Schoolers) Discounts

JoAnn Fabrics has a teacher discount program for anyone who is a teacher. You can get 15% off every purchase! This includes home school parents who teach their children at home! You have to show proof of being a teacher such as a teacher ID card. If you belong to an enrichment program and/or the Denton County Home School Association you can show them your membership/teacher ID card. JoAnn's is located off University Dr. in the same shopping center as Kroger, but on the opposite end close to Tuesday Morning.
